Dx Snipe

Babatunde Ogunbajo, a.k.a Dx Snipe or Dexter, is the Production Head at Midas Touch. Dx, as he’s fondly called has been actively involved with music and production for 9 years. He started out being an IT expert with vast knowledge in programming & debugging way back 1995. His elder brother, an avid music fan and also adept IT person was the one that spawned his interest and passion for music. This later was the driving force that led him to learn and develop his skills as a recording engineer and producer.

After a brief 2 year stint DJ’ing in the university, he joined the choir, taking Tenor & Bass parts respectively. He began studying sound & its esthetics on his own 2003, focusing on mixing and post production. He gathered materials and created an improvised studio setup at his home, from where he studied with the basics of sound, ear training, EQ’ing, Audio effects and the likes.  

It was on sighting the daunting setup at a nearby analog recording studio that really generated his enthusiasm to learn more about production. Soon after this, He got a job at the analog studio as IT personnel and began studying & gleaning from the Head Engineer.

After the Engineer’s departure some months after, He decided to focus on self-study and ear training. This he did for the 4 years, refining his skills at mixing and learning the basics of mastering. The success and enthusiastic response to his work and mixes was overwhelming.

He has since recorded, produced and mixed tracks for numerous artistes in the industry. Through recording these artistes, and the experience gained, he upgraded his sound setup and began to further enhance his skills as a producer, studying online and learning from other fellow producers.

Dx is essentially a fan of music and a perfectionist, his enthusiasm and experience shine through on every project he has been part of. His experience as music-mind has also allowed him to know first-hand what artists put into their music and what they expect from their recordings. With this in mind He approaches every project from a musician’s perspective with open communication. 

Currently he is a certified Music Producer with focus in Music Production, Sound Engineering & Professional Mixing.
